I know you would agree with me when I say that food is the best thing about life! Eating the food you love gives you so much bliss and happiness that for a moment you just forget all your worries! However, overeating has always been a debate under the umbrella of science. Some doctors say that overeating is bad for your health and can give you problems like blood pressure, obesity and heart diseases etc. but on the other side, there are doctors who say that overeating might not be that bad for your health!
Of course that is only when you know what you are eating and only when you know for a fact that you are eating healthy! Overeating healthy food will never cause problems for your health but if you cannot stop eating junk food, it could be problematic for your body.
What happens if you over-eat healthy food?
In other words, if you are binge eating fast foods and are continuously drinking soft drinks, your stomach will start suffering after a certain point in time. Because all of this junk will start accumulating inside the walls of your stomach and your stomach will show a downfall in its efficiency in digestion, you will start having heart burn because of the increase in acidity in your stomach, to decrease this acidity drink lots of water.
However! If you are eating healthy food like fruits, vegetables and drinking fresh juices this will provide your body with some fiber-rich diet that it very much requires. This fiber rich food can make your metabolism more active, your stomach will be able to digest more efficiently and as a result your body will be enjoying a proper healthy diet while at the same time you are not putting on those extra pounds.
The kind of food you can actually over-eat
Mentioned below are some healthy food items that you can consume on a daily basis and even if you over-eat these, they will still be beneficial to your body!
Yogurt has probiotic qualities which can help the stomach to digest food easily. There are good bacteria in yogurt which balance out the bad bacteria and stops weight gain. Eat actively cultured yogurt to enjoy all the good bacteria.
Bananas are really good for high blood pressure. They are very rich in potassium and if you previously ate something junk which was rich in sodium, all the potassium from a banana can cancel its affect.
Oatmeal is a diet which is very rich in fiber. If you eat a bowl of oatmeal it will give your body 1-2 grams of fiber. Fiber helps bring down the cholesterol. It kicks the bad cholesterol out of the body before it can start accumulating.
If you like to have warm drinks, green tea can be the best option. A mug of green tea carries a lot of antioxidants and flavonoids which will balance out the good and bad cholesterol in your body and will help drop some extra pounds. But that can only happen when you hold that sugar in your green tea!
Binge eating can cause health issues like heart diseases because of the accumulation of cholesterol in your arteries. A hand full of nuts a day can lower the chance of these diseases. Walnuts, almonds, peanuts and other nuts contain omega-3 and vitamin E which push out the extra cholesterol out of your body.
Over eating is never a good thing. It is either bad or not harmful for your health in the other case. Over eating all of these above mentioned food and other healthy food can balance out the ratio of good and bad cholesterol in your body but what must be kept in mind is that even if you are over eating a healthy fruit in your daily routine, at some point your body will start putting on weight.
So instead of eating same healthy food 5 times a day, eat healthy but keep your portions defined. Add different sorts of healthy foods in your meal so that your body can get all the nutrients it requires. The bottom line is that overeating is never good for you!
