Are you a dog-person or a cat-dog person? Or should I ask this instead that, are you THAT ONE DAD of every family who is against the pets but once the kids adopt one, he can’t keep himself away from it. Because come on! German Shepherd


German Shepherds have an origin from Germany. For so many centuries German Shepherds have been used as the herding and hunting dogs. These dogs are so intelligent and hardworking that now they are employed as the police, service, military and search and rescue dogs. If you don’t need a dog that works, it is okay, because German Shepherds are also very family friendly and loyal and great pets which are really easy to train because of their intelligence.


Bernese Mountain Dog


Bernies or Bernese dogs are a dog breed which is very famous because of their protective nature. They are very protective yet they are not aggressive with their own people. They are bigger in size but still very gentle. Especially with the kids, they find kids really cute and like to play with them and be involved in family activities like playing in the pool with the family.


Alaskan Malamute

Alaskan malamutes are gentle giants which when you look at their size they look like hunting dogs which is quite true. Because you won’t believe but, to begin with Alaskan Malamutes were bred and kept to hunt bigger powerful preys like seals and bears. But today’s Alaskan Malamutes are completely domesticated. These dogs make an excellent addition to the family.


Golden Doodle

Golden doodle is a dog crossbreed between the golden retriever and a poodle. These dogs have been initially bred as companion dogs so they serve great as guide dogs, therapy dogs and any other types of assistance dogs. If anyone from your family or friends have an allergy but they want to have a pet, golden doodles are their best choice because these dogs are pretty close to a hypoallergenic dog all thanks to their poodle ancestors.

Havanese, the national dog of Cuba is also a hypoallergenic dog breed. This dog breed developed from Blanquito de la Habana which is now extinct. These dogs are 8 to 11 inches tall and have a life span of 13 to 15 years. They have a very soft double coat of fur which falls down their feet. These dogs are very affectionate and friendly.

Continental Toy Spaniel also known as the Papillon is a dog breed with butterfly shaped ears with fringed long hair on it. This is why it is named as papillon. An adult papillon is 18 to 20cm in height and like the havanese dog it also has a life expectancy of 13 to 15 years. Papillons are very friendly, intelligent, overly energetic and happy looking dogs which is such a treat to sore eyes!

Collies are small to medium sized dog breeds with long coated fur. This dog breed originated from Scotland and initially it was bred and kept for herding sheep. Today’s collie is bred as a domesticated, companion and more of show dog. The life expectancy of this dog is 14 to 17 years. Its most famous qualities are being active, intelligent, friendly, gentle and protective.
